Intellistream's management team comprises a group of experienced executives with extensive experience in the IT industry covering a broad range of businesses and functions.
Jim Beagle
Chairman & CEO
Jim has over 25 years experience with a successful track record covering a variety of software and IT services businesses. His career has involved building divisions within major public companies and driving start up businesses.
As CEO he has direct responsibility for formulating and executing business strategy, operational management, and leading the sales and marketing drive. He is also responsible for investor relationships & fund raising.
Jim has significant international experience, having directly run businesses as Managing Director and Vice President in the several European countries and the USA. His early career involved operations, sales and marketing roles at ICL (now Fujitsu). As European Director at UIS (Sprint), he participated in a successful MBO and launched a number of new software businesses, sourcing applications from the US and Europe and establishing a UK joint venture. Jim was a key executive in the development of Object Design as it topped the "Inc 500" list of fastest growing USA private companies in 1994 and then completed a successful IPO. He established the UK start-up, led the growth of the business across European, he then moved to the US to take responsibility for US operations in addition to EMEA. As CEO of Extraprise International, he founded the business, acquired and successfully integrating two UK companies and then led the European expansion.
Jim holds an MBA from Henley Management College and a B.Sc from London School of Economics.
Jani Peltonen
Founder & CTO
Jani Peltonen has created dependable commercial software for over 15 years; in a career spanning entertainment, visualization, mobile telephony and broadcast software. It has been through his vision, expertise and leadership that he has been able to see new technological opportunities and turn these into working, revenue generating solutions.
Previously Jani founded Broadcast Games to create the best end-to-end SMS-2-TV solution, now known as Simcast. The company was sold to TwoWayTV on the merit of its technology, where Jani continued to be the Product Manager and Architect of the system. Simcast has now been successfully deployed globally, including StarTV, Turner Networks and Sky.
Jani has also acted as a consultant for broadcast television projects. The software built by Jani during those consultations has been used to run the live broadcast graphics on many prime time shows around the world (Test the Nation, Trivial Pursuit, Weakest Link etc.) and is widely used today.
Prior to starting Broadcast games Jani worked on software for the bleeding edge handsets and their prototypes including some of the latest Nokia's handsets and R&D work on 3D and video graphics using mobile DSP processors.
John Leyden
Finance Director
John qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and has a proven track recordin advising companies on accounting, acquisitions, flotation and commercial strategy. He has over ten years experience working with both large and small organisations, successfully invovled in floating five companies as well as completing private placements raising £75million.
As Finance Director John has responsibility for the financial management, reporting and compliance issues for Intellistream. He is actively invovled in the commercial strategy and works closely with the investor groups.
John established Carbon Accountancy in May 2000, a boutique accountancy practice in the City of London. Carbon Accountancy is a registered Auditor and is regulated to undertake investment work for customers. It also provides a financial management and finance director service to several medium sized customers some of whom are backed by venture capitalists. Prior to founding Carbon Accountancy John's career included a number of senior roles at KPMG and Durlacher Corporate Finance.
In addition to his corporate roles John serves as a trustee of Magic Breakfast, a registered charity helping to provide food to inner city children in school breakfast clubs. The charity funds 15 school breakfast clubs in London and is supported by a wide range of companies including Pearson, BT, and Unilever
